Standards and approach

ACOH works to make its information, navigation, campaigns, and future digital services usable by people with visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, neurological, and speech-related disabilities.

Accessibility is reviewed when pages, images, documents, forms, donation services, and other features are added or changed.

Measures implemented

• Keyboard-accessible navigation, controls, links, and menus.
• A visible skip link for moving directly to the main content.
• Clear focus indicators and minimum interactive target sizes.
• Semantic headings, landmarks, lists, fieldsets, and labels.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative-image handling.
• Support for browser zoom, text resizing, reflow, and mobile layouts.
• Reduced-motion and high-contrast operating-system preferences.
• Accessible donation-selection controls and status announcements.
• Ongoing review of new images, documents, forms, and third-party services.

Known and future considerations

Third-party payment tools, externally hosted services, future PDF documents, videos, photographs, and client-provided content may require separate accessibility review before public release.

ACOH does not describe the website as fully conformant until automated and human testing, including keyboard and screen-reader review, is completed for the relevant release.
